J. J. Beals & Co., Boston, Mass., label on B&I clock, c.1850, 8-day, time & gong strike beehive, brass springs.
CONDITION:
refinished mahogany veneered in overall good condition with the veneer missing the front molding and base, now stained to match the rest of the case. Repainted dial is in clean condition. Extra heavy brass movement with proper brass springs is signed Brewster & Ingrahams. Hands are period. Original Fenn glass with some wear is very nice. Mov't is clean and running briskly. Label is dark but legible. Ht 19.5"
